      Dr. Nafees Ahmad teaches International Law and Human Rights, Sociology of Law and Law of Federal Constitutions, Research Methodology at LL.M.Level and Jurisprudence, Legal Methods, Public Interest Law, Constitutional Law of India, International Humanitarian Law and International Maritime Law, Interpretation of Statutes & Legislations at LL.B.Level.
      Dr Ahmad also teaches Labour Welfare Legislatios and International Labour Law  to PGD in Labour Law Students.
      His research encompasses International Migrations and Refugee Policy, Asylum,Terrorism, Law & Human Rights, Gender Studies, Peace & Conflict StudiesLaws of Civil Rights & Liberties, Self-Determination Studies, Bio-Terrorism, Human Cloning & Genetics and Extradition.
    Dr Ahmad writes on international migration trends and policies and the relationship of migration to socio-economic development. His peripheral interests are in IPRs, Constitutional Questions, Gender & Social Issues and Lego-Ethical Jurisprudence. He is also inclined towards Public Interest Litigation (PIL) and Anglo-American Jurisprudence.
      Dr Nafees Ahmad delivered an orientation lecture on “Human Rights in Islam” to the delegation of forty law teachers from Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in March 2006 at Faculty of Law, AMU. Aligarh.
      Dr Ahmad recently Supervised a project on Refugees in India, specifically the communities in Jodhpur and New Delhi which was pursued by Miss Julie Magon Braker (USA) . She has done this by carrying out unstructured interviews with 10-15 refugees and finding out their life histories. Her aim was to see how their status as refugees has affected their development. She was also interested in India's laws and policies towards refugees and examined the governmental action taken towards refugees. (From April 10, 2008 to June 30, 2008)
    Dr. Ahmad has taught many subjects of varied nature whenever he was asked therefor. He is a jurocrat and believes in an amalgamation of human existentialism in jurocracy. He is a member of Amnesty International and Human Rights Campaigner. He advances the causes of people who are at the mercy of instrumentalities of state and non-state actors by his writings, oratories and articulations. Dr Ahmad believes in pluralism, secularism and universalism (PSU).
      Dr.Ahmad is man of mannerism, disciple of discipline and blessed with pleasing personality. His hobbies are music, poetry, riding, and excursion. He is sincere in his academic and social commitments and obligations towards students and seniors alike. Dr.Ahmad attends the students on individual basis. Participatory pedagogy, persuasive panache and spirit of camaraderie in the class-room are the pinnacle of his teaching methodology.
      Dr. Ahmad has accomplished his B.A (H) in English Literature and has obtained his Degrees of LL.B and LL.M. (Master of Laws) in International Law & Human Rights respectively. Dr. Ahmad has done his Ph.D. in International Refugee Law & Human Rights. Dr. Ahmad is a poet, orator, short-story writer and established his academic credentials, participatory pursuits and legal scholarship in and around the class. Dr. Ahmad extensively publishes in magazines, politico-legal Journals of repute and in national op-ed pages. Dr. Ahmad has been teaching since 1998 in the Faculty of Law, A.M.U.Aligarh-202002 (U.P.)-INDIA.
